

Dr. Lorraine Alice Zulim (Micheli), 74, of Dinuba, California, passed away at her Dinuba home on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, after a long fight with Parkinson’s disease. She was surrounded by family and friends until her passing.
Lorraine was born in San Mateo, California, in 1952, to Paul and Josephine Micheli. She was the youngest of two daughters and is survived by her sister Sharon. In 1955, the family of four moved to Dinuba, where Lorraine was raised. She graduated as salutatorian from Dinuba High School in 1970. She continued her studies at Reedley College in 1971 and 1972 before enrolling at UC Berkeley in the fall of 1972. In the spring of 1976, Lorraine earned her Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from UC Berkeley.
In August 1975, Lorraine married her high school sweetheart, Greg Zulim. A year later they made their home just north of Dinuba, on a farm where they grew apricots and plums. Lorraine practiced as an optometrist at the Eye Medical Center of Fresno from 1977 to 2020, serving her patients and community with dedication for 43 years. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother and Busia (grandmother) to her family.
Lorraine is survived by her husband Greg; their three sons, Matt Zulim and wife Janine, Russell Zulim and wife Meghan, and Darren Zulim and wife Shannen; and her grandchildren Madison, Mason, and Makayla; Sage, Rainey, and Rusty; and Dane, Duke, and Dawson.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. at Smith Mountain Cemetery, followed by a celebration of her life at the Zulim residence, 8495 Ave 428, Dinuba.
Lorraine’s selflessness, humility, kindness, loyalty, wisdom, resilience and above all else her deep and undying love for her family and her Savior Jesus Christ will continue to inspire all who knew her.
