June 2, 2000 – September 17, 2025
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Luis Gustavo Rivera Cisneros, 25, a beloved son, husband, father, brother, and friend. Luis was deeply cherished by all who knew him, and his absence leaves a space that can never be filled.
Luis was born on June 2, 2000, in Selma, California, and raised in the Central Valley. From a young age, he showed a deep love for his family and a quiet strength that touched those around him. He attended Monson-Sultana School from kindergarten through eighth grade, later earning his GED after briefly attending Dinuba High School.
For the past five years, Luis worked in forestry and tree work—an occupation he didn’t just do, but truly loved. He took great pride in his work, always willing to put in the effort, never one to shy away from hard labor. He found purpose in nature and satisfaction in providing for the ones he loved.
On March 17, 2021, Luis married the love of his life, Jasmine Rivera. Together they built a beautiful, blended family that became the center of his world. He was a proud and devoted father to Matteo and Delilah Rivera, his daughter Kaylani, and two precious bonus daughters, Aria and April Lopez. His children were his greatest joy, and he lived to make them smile.
Luis had a heart made of gold and a spirit that lit up every room. He was known for his radiant smile, contagious laughter, and love for good food—especially carne asada and enchiladas shared among loved ones. He lived for family gatherings, birthdays, and holidays, always making sure his children, nieces, and nephews felt seen, celebrated, and loved.
Though he was the smallest in the room, his heart was the biggest. Luis was deeply loyal, humble, and kind—a true family man whose presence brought comfort and joy. The moments he spent with his wife and children were what he treasured most, and he made each one count.
Luis is survived by his loving wife Jasmine, his children, and his siblings: older sisters Thalia and Selena Rivera, and younger half-sisters Yesenia Correa and Jennifer Rivera. He also leaves behind a large extended family and many friends whose lives were forever changed by his love.
Luis will be remembered always for the joy he brought into this world, the warmth he gave so freely, and the love he poured into his family. He lives on in the hearts of those who loved him—stronger than death, brighter than sorrow, and forever cherished.
Heavenly Father, we entrust the soul of Luis into Your loving embrace.
Grant him eternal rest, and let perpetual light shine upon him.
May he find peace in Your heavenly kingdom.
Lord in Your mercy, hear our prayer.
