Pete Baca Guzman

Pete B. “Papa Pete” Guzman, was born on August 17, 1955 to Gilbert and Jessie Guzman in Los Angeles, California. While living in Tulare County for the past 28 years, he became a very big Fresno State Bulldogs fan, and also enjoyed fishing in his spare time. Pete Guzman passed away on Sunday, April 13, 2014 in Dinuba. He is predeceased by his father Gilbert Guzman, Sr. and nephew, Freddie Guzman, Jr. He is survived by his wife, Mary Guzman of almost 38 years, three daughters, Stefani Guzman, Michelle Martinez, and Tracy Guzman, three brothers, Gilbert Guzman, Jr., Freddie Guzman, Sr., and Rudy Guzman and his mother, Jessie Guzman. He was also very proud of his nine surviving grandchildren, Alyssa Guzman, Elijah Segura, Adam Ponce, J.J. Segura, Ashley Ponce, Fabian Segura, Angelina Martinez, Angel Martinez, and Andrew Martinez, and is beloved dog Sunny. A service will be held in his honor on Thursday, April 24, 2014 at Dopkins Funeral Chapel in Dinuba, beginning at 10 in the morning. The service will be followed by burial at Smith Mountain Cemetery.
