Dr. Abram Goldsher

Dr. Abram Goldsher, 88 of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, passed away in the early hours of Friday, December 11, 2015. Abram was born in Warsaw, Poland to Morris and Pauline (Averbach) Goldsher. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy and he was the first podiatrist appointed to the staff of Brookhaven Hospital, spending 40 years serving Suffolk County and it's hospitals, local nursing homes and private practice. He was pre-deceased in life by his dear son, Daniel Goldsher. Abram is survived by his beloved wife Ruth (Epstein); loving sons Robert (Cindy) Goldsher and Richard Goldsher and by two adoring grandchildren, Jordan and Zachary to cherish his memory. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, December 14, 2015 at Temple B'nai Israel located at 67 Oakdale-Bohemia Road in Oakdale, New York. Interment will take place immediately following services at Patchogue Hebrew Cemetery in Holbrook, New York. The family will be sitting Shiva following services through Thursday evening. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions can be made in Dr. Goldsher's memory to B'nai Israel Reform Temple.
