

Born on May 22, 1937 to Maximillian and Shirley Krantz in New York, Barry built a life marked by dedication, intellect, and generosity. He spent nearly 42 years as a head administrative assistant at Simpson, Thacher & Bartlett, where his diligence and professionalism left a lasting impact.
Barry was a man of many interests. He had a deep love for reading and an appreciation for history and politics. He enjoyed movies and television, always eager to engage in discussions about his favorite films and shows. A skilled Scrabble player, he relished the challenge of a good game, often impressing those around him with his vocabulary and strategic thinking. Music was another passion that enriched his life, providing both comfort and joy throughout the years.
Above all else, Barry was a devoted family man. He is survived by his beloved wife, Carol; his children, Meryl and Jason; his son-in-law, Alan; his daughter-in-law, Randi; and his cherished grandchildren, Joslyn, Robyn, and Juliet. He also leaves behind his sisters, Regina and Diane and dear nieces and nephews. His kindness, selflessness, intelligence, and generosity were evident in every role he played—whether as a loving husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather, uncle, or brother.
Barry’s memory and spirit will live on in the hearts of those who knew him. His warmth and wisdom will be deeply missed but never forgotten, for he was an exceptional human
