Charles R Pegler

Charles (“Chuck”) Pegler passed away on January 18, 2025. He was married to his wife Cheryl for 59 years. He is also survived by his daughters, Ericka (Dan) and Elyse (Alan), and grandchildren Max, Abby, Lila, and Jonathan.

We remember Chuck as a vibrant, keenly intelligent man who was devoted to his family, his friends, his profession, and his community.

He graduated from Queens College and received his masters in taxation at CW Post. In his CPA practice, he was known for his expertise and going above and beyond for his clients.

He was past president of NcCPAp, a professional CPA organization, Solomon Schechter Day School, was on the board of the Smithtown Bay Yacht Club, and was a leader in many other organizations.

He specialized in cryptography in the Army Security Agency as a reservist. Chuck was passionate about his boat, family, travel, photography, magic, and many other varied interests.
