We are very sad to hear the news. David was our next door neighbor in Lake Grove growing up. The Khan family. He was a childhood friend along with his sister Jennifer and my bothers and sisters. It’s been many years since we moved but kept in touch  through the years. Unfortunately we lost touch for for that last 5 years and learned today that David had passed away.  We have many pictures and memories growing up.  We had a great neighborhood and we all played together. My family and I send our condolences and prayers to his family and friends. Dave was simply a great guy all around. Always happy and smiling. Always took the time to say hello and ask how you and your family were. We will miss his voice and presence thursday nights at hockey, where Dave had so many friends that looked forward to him walking into the locker room. I have the honor of knowing and working with Dave which dates back to the Aventail era.  He was always there to lend a hand.  His positive demeanor, the can do attitude and that radiant smile will be missed!

It has been years since I worked with Dave but as I read the news of his passing I am crushed all the same.  What a great person.  What a loss.  To Dave's kids: he loved you all so much and was so proud of you.  In 2011 I was about to become a father myself and I was pretty nervous, but Dave gave me perspective on how great children are and how incredibly proud he was of his kids.   He talked at length about how his children were the light of his life and gave me tips on parenting.  He didn't have to do that, I was just some random work colleague to him at the time, but he had a genuine interest in helping others and I will always remember Dave with warm thoughts.
