David was a wonderful father, son, husband, brother, uncle, and friend who will be dearly missed.  Our deepest sympathies to the entire family and he will always be in our heart and memory.

So many fond memories of growing up together on Green Place.  From my earliest memories of Yom Kippur 'break the fast' to all the mornings hopping in his car to get to Ward Melville.  

With David- it was always laughter, always.  

My condolences to Roz, Mike, Lori, and Elyssa.  I am sorry for your loss.  May David's memory be for a blessing.

David came to a Nursing home I work at a few days before his passing and we sat together that night we spent a few hours talking about everything he was a great man I'm sure he will be deeply missed by his family and Friends my Condolences ro all affected by hia transition...Be an Angel in Heaven ny friend Until we meet Again.

Dave was a huge part of my life in HS! He made my heart leap and he cracked me up. So grateful for that moment in time. Sending all my love to his family and friends who are missing his presence today. He was a force and that remains with everyone. Rest in peace my friend. Thank you for all you gave me. 


A man who loved his family, friends, and employees like no other. David, may angels lead you in and may you be at peace. All my love and prayers to the Wolmetz family. 

Taking care of david as a nurse was truly such an amazing experience. He is the reason why I do what I do. We created such a bond while he was fighting so hard and will be missed by so so many people. Your fight is over and I hope all the pain is gone. ❤️

Dave inspired me to coach soccer when the boys were tiny, entering the soccer world. He also talked me into joining the Hauppauge soccer board with him, which we were great partners for almost 5 years.  He was an incredible advocate for the community.  This is the last group picture of the Striker soccer family with Dave at his own Urban Air.  Dave, I’ll miss you forever. You were a great friend to me and so many others. Rest in peace my dear friend. 

You gave so much to others for the good of the kids and community.  Jack has the best memories of soccer, Dave & Buster’s, Urban Air and many playdates with Jacob at your house.  The world lost a great man. You will be missed so much Dave.

I had the absolute pleasure of coaching alongside Dave. He introduced me to Hauppauge soccer, was my sons first soccer coach, and basketball coach. If it was not for Dave I would have never coached which was one of the best experiences of my life. Dave was truly a great and amazing man and will be missed!
