We are sad to announce the passing of Doris (Selikman) Markowitz of Dallas, Texas, formally Delray Beach, Florida and Brooklyn, New York. She died at age 91 on March 2, 2023. Doris was the daughter of Elliot and Cilla Selikman. She was born in Poland and escaped the Nazi regime.
Upon coming to America, she found the love of her life, her husband of 62 years, Herman, who predeceased her as of 2016. Doris is also predeceased by her daughter, Caron. Survived by her daughter, Elaine and Mark Lipchitz, grandchildren- Bryan and Rachel Lipchitz, Caron and Brian Murstein, and Michael Lipchitz, great grandchildren- Samantha, Hailey, and Dean, as well as many other nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A graveside service for Doris will be held Monday, March 6, 2023 at 11:30 AM at Wellwood Cemetery, 1400 Wellwood Ave, West Babylon, NY 11704.
