Ellen was our wonderful nextdoor neighbor for a short few years, but getting to know her through gardening together,  our trips to home depot, and making sure she was shoveled out in winter, was always a pleasure. Ellen always with a big smile, and a plate of cookies when I needed them most, Lol. 
Our friend was taken to soon, you will be greatly missed sweet lady.

Ellen was always up for fun at school. She put on any costume or hat and even dressed up for the Wedding of Q and U. She was a real team player and made every event better!  I loved when she would say, We need to Jreck things up!”

Her precious grandson brought great joy to her life. He was such a gift and she was really happy when she was talking about him.

This was Ellen’s last day before retirement. She was happy to retire so spend more time with her family. She loves them so much and was always happy to show pictures of them and share stories about them. She was so very proud of both Melissa and Scott, and spoke about Tom with so much love as well.

Ellen was always kind and patient with her students. She lovingly helped them to see the best in themselves and to reach their potential. Her students adored her. She really made a difference in their lives.

Ellen and I worked closely for 13 years. She was always kind and loving. She came in with a smile and brought laughter and joy to our days. I am so grateful that I had such a wonderful friend to work with all those years. I missed her so much when she retired. It has never been the same. Everyday I open up a binder or folder that she organized for me and think how lucky I am to have had the chance to work with her.

I worked many years with Ellen at Vanderbilt Elementary.  She was a professional, loving and caring person.  My heart hurts thinking of her passing.  May God watch over you and your loved ones.  With my prayers, Ann Mancuso  xoxoxoxo

Ellen was such a loving mother, mother in law, and grandmother. She always had a smile when we got together as a family on birthdays and holidays. We will miss her as an important part of our extended family.

I will miss Ellen’s kindness and compassion.

I am so sorry, Melissa and Scott. Ellen truly was so warm and kind, and always so welcoming. And quick to add funny stories to make everyone smile. All my best. Love-Jen
