

Frederica Georgette Blausten
Frederica G. Blausten (“Rica”) of Allendale, NJ, passed away on March 19, 2013. Rica succumbed to a long-standing illness that few knew she was battling. Rica earned her BA from Muhlenberg, and her MA and MS in Education and Psychology from Hunter College – CUNY. For the past 20 years, Rica was the Executive Director of AMAC, Inc., the Association for Metroarea Autistic Children, based in NY, serving over 250 students aged 2½ to lifelong learners across all five boroughs, NJ, Long Island, Ireland and the Philippines. Rica devoted her life to helping others; directing, developing, implementing and establishing solutions for those in need.
In addition to Rica’s commitment to the agency and helping others, Rica had a love of dogs, owning and training the #2 Hungarian Pumi in America.
Rica is survived by her husband Bo (Bogdan Fabrycy), her brothers (& their wives) Jonathan (& Dawn) and Edmond (& Toshiko) – and her Champion Hungarian Pumi, Sasha.
A funeral service will be held Thursday March 21, 2013 at the I.J. Morris Funeral Home, 21 East Deer Park Rd., Dix Hills, NY at 2pm. The family will sit at 855 W Crescent Ave, Allendale, NJ 11a-5p March 22, 11a-3p and 7p-9p March 24 and 11a-3p March 25. Donations in her memory may be made to the Association for Metroarea Autistic Children (AMAC, Inc.) in NY (www.amac.org).
