Harold J. Gordon, retired Official NYS Supreme Court Reporter, died February 9, 2013. Mr. Gordon was well known in his field as a writer and teacher. He also worked as Editor and Verbatim Reporter at the United Nations. In 1978, Mr. Gordon was awarded Fellowship in the Academy of Professional Reporters by the National Court Reporters Association for “extraordinary qualifications and experience in the field of shorthand reporting.” Later, he was inducted into the NYS Court Reporters Hall of Fame. He is survived by his wife, Randy, his children, Mark, Laura, Nicole, Rachel, and Danielle, and four grandchildren. Funeral service Tuesday at 12pm at I.J. Morris in Dix Hills. Shiva at 19 Concerto Court, Eastport, Wednesday, Thursday 12-8pm.
