CHESHIRE - Harold Neistein, 89, passed away on Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at Yale New Haven Hospital. He was born in the Bronx, New York and was son to the late Morris and Anna Neistein. Harold lived in New York City and Scranton, Pennsylvania where he worked in the book publishing industry as an assistant director of credit until his retirement and move to Cheshire in 1998.
Harold was a loving and devoted husband to Marcia Neistein for 66 years. His passion was his family, daughters Wendy (Neistein) Lipper and son-in-law Ira Lipper of East Meadow, NY and Sharon (Neistein) Brown and son-in-law Samuel Brown of Cheshire, and his grandchildren Julie (Brown) Howard of Somers Point, NJ and Andrew Brown of Queens, NY. He is survived by his sister, Irma Silverman. He was predecreased by his brother, Sheldon Neistein.
Harold will always be remembered for his love of family, music, photography, chocolate and ability to help out friends and neighbors. Funeral services were held on July 8, 2018 at I J Morris in Dix Hills, NY. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.

We only knew Harold for a short time but his passing has saddened us greatly. His sense of humor was so remarkable. We are sorry for the loss to his wife and family. Harold will be in my prayers and his family also.
