I'm devastated that I didn't know and I'm just finding out.  I loved Herb like a father. I would have been at the funeral and I'm saddened that I missed it. I was his manager at Publix for many years.  He saw my family grow and loved when I brought my children in.  He would take them from me and play around with them throughout the store. My children loved him too.  He had such a loving heart and was so strong...and FUNNY! I wish I could have been there for him.  God bless you Herb.  God bless your family.  XO

I am in heart felt sorrow and tears, in hearing of the passing and loss of a special co-worker and person.  We worked together at Publix for 10 years.  We all at Publix feel the same.  I just found out four days ago.  R. I. P., Peace Be With You Herb ( Peaches, our nick name for our kind and funny friend )

I'm so sorry to hear about the passing of Herb.  I'm his coffee buddy and have enjoyed visiting with him for the pass years.  I tried calling him right before Christmas to invite him over for dinner and knew something must be wrong as he always returns my calls.  I'll miss hanging out with Herb ... he was a great guy!
