Jaquelyn Mandel, 75, of Raeford, North Carolina, and formerly of East Northport, NY, passed away on July 7, 2026. Born December 5, 1950, in Reading, Pennsylvania, Jaquelyn will be remembered with deep respect and enduring gratitude by all who had the privilege to know her.
Throughout her working life, Jaquelyn served with steady dedication as an Executive Assistant and in human resources at National Nutritional Laboratories in Amityville, NY. In roles that called for discretion, patience, and care for others, she carried herself with quiet professionalism and a compassionate attentiveness that made a lasting difference in the lives and days of those around her.
Jaquelyn was predeceased by her husband, Joseph. She is survived by her two sons, Lewis and Ben; her grandchildren, Callie, Emma, Anna, and Frankie; and her great-grandchild, Grayson. She was also, with affectionate pride, a granddogmother and great-granddogmother, as well as a grandmeower and great-grandmeower.
Known fondly as the “Candy Woman,” Jaquelyn had a simple, generous way of making people feel welcome—always with candy close at hand, and kindness close behind it. Her warmth, consideration, and gentle presence will be sincerely missed and gratefully remembered.
Funeral services for Jaquelyn will be held at the I.J. Morris Funeral Home, 21 East Deer Park Road, Dix Hills, NY, 11746 on Tuesday, July 14th at 9:30am. Please arrive at the funeral home at 9:00am to pay respects to the family.
Interment will take place immediately following at the New Montefiore Cemetery in West Babylon, NY at 11:00am.
