Joan B. Gesang

Joan Gesang, beloved mother, grandmother, and dear friend to many, passed away peacefully on January 30, 2024. She was born May 9, 1941, in Albany NY to Milton and Ann Goldhamer. Her bright light and warm personality touched the lives of all she knew.

Joan was predeceased by her beloved husband, Merv. She will be sorely missed by her loving family and friends, including her children -Andrea (Nick) Rizik and Jill D’Aquila. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Sara, Jon ( Dorota), Michael, and Christina, as well as her beloved sister Marilyn

Joan accomplished many things throughout her life. By far, Joan will always be known for her undoubted love for her family.

In mourning the loss of Joan, but celebrating the beautiful life she led, family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service for Joan will be held Friday, February 2, 2024 at 2:00 PM . The family will receive guess 1pm - 2pm at I. J. Morris, 21 E Deer Park Rd, Dix Hills, New York 11746.
