

Kenneth A. Goldman of Smithtown, passed away on January 2, 2014 in his 73rd year, after a valiant 25 year struggle with Parkinson's. Beloved husband of Janice, devoted father of Amy & Ethan, Elisabeth & Jon, Jennifer & Gus and Jonathan & Jacqueline. Adoring grandfather of Jacob, Kate and Isabella. Ken is also survived by his loving mother Betty, sister Barbara, brother Stephen, sisters-in-law Diane and Marcia, brothers-in-law Joel and Jonathan and many nieces and nephews. While never happier than being surrounded by his children, Ken’s work was always dedicated to improving the lives of those in need. Founder and Executive Director of Melville House, a small institutional program for troubled boys, former Director of Stepping Stones, Ken’s mission was helping those less fortunate achieve their own greatness. With his subtle leadership style and enormous capacity for love and compassion Ken’s legacy will live on in the many lives that he touched. Funeral service at I J Morris Dix Hills on Sunday, January 5 at 11AM.
