Mildred and I were childhood pals.  We went to grade school together.  I usually hung out at her house and her two big brothers (yes, big -- they were quite tall) Harold and Sheldon, seemed very tall to a ten-year old gal.  And they usually were fighting with each other, literally! Yep, they were a lovely family and Mildred was a very good pal.  I am sorry we lost touch, and, of course, that she left us so early in life.  I was so looking forward to re-connecting with her.

Mildred and I were in grade school together when we both lived on Christopher Avenue in Brooklyn.  Unfortunately, we lost track of each other through the years.  She was a very good friend to be with. So very unfortunate we did not keep up our friendship.  I moved out of the area in Jr. High School. 

Rest in piece, dear friend.  I think of you everyday.

Millie and I were very good friends since college.  We helped each other out in many ways over the years. She was a talented artist who loved to travel, visit museums and write.  I shall miss her.

my wife Ellen and I lived in the same building as Millie for over twenty years and loved seeing and speaking to her .She was so caring and friendly.  We were both shocked and speechless when we heard from another neighbor that Millie had passed away.  We will miss her terribly!!

I just heard the news of Judy's death.  We were friends for many years and worked as guidance counselors.  Judy loved theater, music and enjoyed her life in the city.  She will be missed.

I am Natalie Herbstman, Millie's sister-in-law. Her brother Harold was my husband. Mildred was a talented artist and when she retired she took many art courses at the Art Student's League. She spent many hours painting and it was a great satisfaction and joy to her. She also loved the opera and each Monday I would see her at the Stein Senior Center enjoying the opera class. Many people at the center where saddened by the news that Mildred had passed. They made announcements and expressed their condolences to me. Mildred also adored her great nephews Ben and Leon Simon, the children of Colette Simon, my daughter and her niece. We shall miss her.

I am a cousin of Millie's and I remember her as a talented artist, a generous and sensitive person. She was an avid theatre buff and liked to travel. She will be missed. Minette Greenberg
