Muriel H Schmierer

Muriel Schmierer, 89, of Jericho Long Island, died early Monday, July 1, 2013 at home. Devoted wife of the late Dr. Bernard Schmierer, loving mother of Dr. Edwin Schmierer, Mark Schmierer and Dr. Jeffrey Schmierer and their spouses. Adored grandmother of Michelle, Robyn, Benjamin, Rebecca, Jordana, Marissa, and Rachel; cherished great grandmother of Aubrey.

Born and raised in Brooklyn, Muriel was selflessly devoted to her family, for more than 50 years, an active Owner of Camp Starlight in Starlight Pennsylvania and for more than 50 years a devoted member and participant of the Jericho Jewish Center in Jericho, Long Island.May her memory be eternal. Funeral services will be held at IJ Morris, Dix Hills on Tuesday, July 2, 2013 with interment to immediately follow at the Wellwood Cemetery in Pinelawn, NY. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Muriel's name to Hope Lodge of the American Cancer Society, www.cancer.org, the Leukemia Society, www.lls.org, or to a charity of choice.
