He was the youngest of three other siblings. His life was humble, but he never stopped providing for his three boys and beautiful wife.
Unfortunately, he had to endure the loss of two of his three sons, and his wife, all passing at a young age due to a genetic disorder. He watched his third son endure the illness but survive. Despite all of this, he remained the bedrock of support for his 6 grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and countless others.
Any enumeration of his life's accomplishments would be banal in comparison to his character.
Tall, handsome, smooth but never slick, naturally witty in an effortless and genuine manner, a dexterous athlete and aficionado of all sports is just the beginning of his story.
The anecdotes people share about him are too numerous to share here, and best saved for a separate collection. An analogy to another person is impossible; he was too special and unique to conjure any comparison.
Every person who met him was enamored and charmed by his effortless beauty of character. It seemed as though everyone whose life he touched wanted to, in some indescribable way, have him as their own. Many of the assisted living facility staff named him their "daddy", and cried when he moved on to a nursing home, and reached out with tears of their loss.
His entire family and social network are transiently lost now without him; but they will all be strengthened and rejuvenated by remembrance of his words of wisdom.
Jealousy, vengeance, hatred, anger, etc, were not "hard wired" into this man.
Every life he touched will forever be enhanced.
