I have been a patient of DrBo for years and I am saddened by his death. I was shocked today when my GP told me the sad news. Dr Bo was my favorite doctor. Always friendly, courteous, caring and a great guy. My condolences to his family & staff. I will miss him.

Dr Bohensky was quite special to me as a patient and as a fellow physician. He practiced medicine as both an art and a science and always displayed a real sincerity for those patients in his care. He was at the top of his game and used all of his skills to provide his patients with compassionate care always coupled with the understanding of the latest knowledge in his discipline. Although not on staff at BMH he always had time to speak with me concerning patients I had real interest in and making certain that he made time in his schedule to see them and then to speak to me related to his findings. I join the many people who have left notes on this site to offer my deepest feelings for his family's loss and also the loss that the world of medicine will forever have. Robert H. Baker, PhD., M.D.

To the family of Dr. Bohensky so sorry for your loss, he will be miss he has been my doctor for the last 3 or 4 years he was a great doctor and good man may he rest in enternal peace. Going to his office won't the same to me. R.I.P. Dr.Bohensky.

Dear Mrs. Bohensky and family,
I am so saddened to hear of the passing of Dr. B. I was shocked when I saw this. He was such a great pulmonologist! He has treated me for my COPD and my asthma for many years, as well several other members of my family. He will truly be missed.

Dear bohensky family I just heard the news today and I'm deeply saddened. I can't imagine your pain as I knew this man as my doctor for the past 27 years. He saved my life when I was 15 years old and has treated me like an adopted daughter. He took the time to speak to me about life on many occasions and give me advice when I needed it (even when I didn't want it!). I have a quality of life that through medicine he was able to give me (after the first 15 years of my life no other dr could) He truly has made an impact on my life and my family's and I will be forever grateful to him. I pray that you find comfort in seeing all the people's lives that he saved and touched.

Iam so very sorry, he was one of the best caring and funny Doctor. He will take the time out to talk to you. Again, Iam so sorry for your loss. Even when he was in pains! He had a smile on his face.

Dear Adele, Yuda and I just heard. We wanted to express our very deepest sympathy. We will always remember Paul with great fondness. May you never know such sorrow again, Esther and Yuda brot

Dr Bohensky saved my life. He diagnosed my asthma when no one else could and ended years of struggle. I will be eternally grateful to him for that. I enjoyed our conversations whenever I came to the office. As business owners we shared in each other's struggles and victories. He was a caring man that always asked me if there was anything else I wanted to discuss. I wish all doctors where as caring as he was. I last saw him on Feb 24 and I was very concerned about him, but through all his pain he still shook my hand and smiled and wished me luck on a pending business trip. My deepest condolences to the family and friends.

Dear Mrs Bohensky, and family , I have been a patient of Dr Bo s for over 30 years ! He was the kindest , caring man I knew ! We would joke about similiar family issues as my husband and I are married 42 years and I also had a parent that lived with us. I am heart broken over his sudden passing, and will sorely miss him! My condolences Kathleen Cordeiro

Dr. Bohensky was the FIRST doctor I found who I honestly felt like I could trust. Finding the right pulmonologist was a struggle for me until I met him. He heard things in my lungs other doctors couldn't and it was because Dr. Bohensky really listened, on so many levels. His compassion is something I will always remember. When my asthma got to a point where I had to be admitted to the hospital, his comforting promise to get me better kept me going and he saved my life when my lungs were worse than I ever experienced. Many times he'd listen to my tears and frustration trying to battle this disease. It's very rare to find a doctor who cares so much for his patients; they are truly few and far between. I moved and never got a chance to thank him but I hope he knew how much of a difference he made in my life. My prayers go out to his family. Rest in peace Dr. Bohensky. You will be missed and remembered fondly.

Mrs. Bohensky and family, we are so sorry for your loss. Dr Bohensky was my husbands doctor for many years. He was the best. We will miss him. Our prayers are with you and your family. Rest in peace Dr. Bohensky.

I've been a patient of Dr. Bo's since 1996. He often joked that we were together longer than some marriages. I am so saddened to learn of his passing. Prayers of comfort for all his survivors.

Extending condolences to his family and friends. He was my doctor since 2009. He was a good man. Rest in peace.

I would like to add my voice to those who so appreciated Dr Bo's care over many years. Our conversations and his friendship got me thru many times. I send my deepest sympathy to his dear wife (we met years ago in the airport) and to his family. His kindness and personal care will be long remembered.

Dear Mrs. Bohensky and Family,

I am so sorry for your loss. It is my loss too. I was Dr. Bo's patient since 1991 and he was simply "the best" doctor I have ever had!

Dear Mrs Bohensky and Family,
Dr Bo was my Dr for many years. His patient care was the best!!! He will be sorely missed. My deepest Sympathy.

Dear Mrs. Bohensky and family, I am so sorry for your loss. "Dr. Bo" was my doctor and my friend. We worked with each other for many years at BMH. I admired him and loved the way he could lighten an awful situation. I saw him on Tuesday the 1st in the office where he was seeing patients even though he was in pain and feeling terrible. He will be sorely missed.

 Dear Adele and and Family,
Larry and I were so sad to learn of your family's loss. Though we had only met Paul a few times, he was kind and caring man with a great sense of humor. Please accept our sincerest condolences and prayers.
With loving thoughts for you and yours always.

Dear Adele and Family,
My Family and I are shocked and extremely saddened over the sudden loss of "Dr. Bo". My friend for nearly 30 years and my boss for over 20. I am going to miss our conversations that covered everything from the Mets to Medicine and everything in between. He was patient with my son Jake as he shadowed him in his office and was instrumental in helping him realize his dream of going to med school. I will miss my friend, may he Rest In Peace.

Dear Mrs. Bohensky and family,
I am sorry to hear about the loss of Dr. Bohensky. He was always kind to me and I will miss his sense of humor. I am thinking of you and his grandchildren. He spoke about them all the time, and with such enthusiasm.

Adele,
I am so sorry for your loss. Paul was one of my favorite house staff members during his internship and training at Northport VA. We shared many a spirited conversation about baseball and his love of the National league.Mark Goldstein kept me informed about Paul throughout the years, so I obviously felt closer to him than the miles apart.. He was a class act.
