I think I speak for the entire staff, Board and members of the Northport Historical Society when I say how very, very sorry we are to hear about Phil's passing. Philip was such a wonderful docent and it was evident to all of us that he must have been a great teacher given his natural ability to interact and share information with our Museum guests -- especially school age children.
Please accept our deepest sympathies and know that the Northport Historical Society shares in your sadness. If there is anything we can do to make this time easier for you and your family, please let us know. Phil will be greatly missed by all of us.

I am so sad to hear that Phil has passed. I have known Phil and Maddie since Katie and my daughter Cassie met in pre-school and became best friends 35 years ago. We had many wonderful times with the girls as they grew. I have been fortunate to see Phil and Maddie for the past 20 years in my job at our library. Phil was an avid reader and attended most of our book clubs. It was a joy to see him walk in, always with a word or two or three about the state of the world, always proud of his children and grandchildren, asking Maddie to pull out her phone to share photos. The library and I will miss him. God give you strength, Maddie, Katie, Louis and the family. All my sympathy.
