The Roz I knew was a lively, intelligent woman who loved life and her family. I was only the person who handled the renting of her condo in Silver Spring for my own mother, but Roz and I had many interactions during the ten years I knew her. Roz was on top of all her financial and housing matters and kept me on my toes. Amusingly, she was adept at texting although she would occasionally mistakenly text the other “Arlene” in her life, leaving me to discern the true meaning of the messages.  Roz proudly told me many stories about her family over the years and was so happy to be able to spend time with her children, grandchildren and other relatives. She was curious about the world around her and asked many questions about my family,  even showing me her family’s landscaping photos for inspiration when I talked about my own gardening.  Her spirit showed in the photo of her as “flower girl,” which was shared with all my family members.  I’ll miss Roz.
