Sondra Baumgarten

Sondra was born on March 7, 1935, to Seymour and Rita Sweet, in New York City. Sondra graduated from Syracuse University School of Education, and spent her career teaching in the Lindenhurst School District. She had a genuine love of teaching and helping students.

Sondra married Neil Baumgarten in November, 1955, and had two sons, Jay and Marc. She was a caring and loving spouse and mother. Sondra will be fondly remembered for her witty candor, and upbeat manner.

Sondra is preceded in death by husband Neil and son Jay.

Surviving family members include loving son Marc, daughter-in-law Stephanie, and nephew David; grandchildren Aaron and Ray, nephew Peter, niece Peggy, and daughter-in-law Carol

A graveside service for Sondra will be held Monday, June 12, 2023 at 10:30 AM at New Montefiore Cemetery, 1180 Wellwood Ave, West Babylon, New York 11704.
