I was so sorry to hear that this fine Dr. passed away. He was such a kind & gentleman who always put you at ease whenever you were in his office. 
I remember one time in particular when I found a lump behind my nipple, to say the least I was petrified. 
Well upon examination he very gently touched my nipple and out squirted alot of blood... which now I thought I was dying because what do they say a bloody discharge. 
He calmed me down ( I was shaking very badly) he then assured me that everything was going to be ok. Within a week I had surgery and poof like magic everything was good. He even joked that the headlights were even... 
RIP Dr. Klausner you were one heck of a surgeon!

I was a patient of Dr. Klausner for 12 yrs. He would call me "Kid" everytime I went to see him. When he told me he was retiring I was devastated. He assured me that I would be in good hands with the doctor that was taking his place (Dr. Fana). I saw her twice and she sent me for my six month mammo. I was at work May 2015 and received a call that Dr. Klausner wanted me to come in to the office. I of course found it odd that he wanted to see me when I was already seeing Dr. Fana. I went in to the office and he gave me the news that I had breast cancer. At that moment I was in shock and trying to process it all. He said to me that he would be there with me every step of the way and though he was not doing surgery, that he would be in the OR with me. When the day came for my surgery as I was waiting to go up to the OR and Dr. Fana was speaking to me and my family who walks in before they wheel me off, but Dr. Klausner himself in his scrubs just as he said he would. Tears flowing all I could think was this man kept his word and was right with me as he said he would be. He was also right when he said I would be in good hands because Dr. Fana saved me. Finding out about his passing I was devastated beyond words. He was an amazing Dr., and amazing man to all who knew him. My condolences to his family and everyone that worked with him. Rest in peace Dr. K you will be missed.

I am devastated ....I worked in Radiology at BHM from 1974 until retirement in 2012..I knew and respected Dr. Klausner for the entire time that I was there..My WIFE WAS Dr. Klausner's patient from General surgery and into Breast specialty..

I just found out today. This is a total loss. I have been a patient since I was 16 years old I am now 40.I movedette to fl when I was 29 and made my 6 month appointments with him. He was a wonderful doctor and will be truly missed. Kimberlee berkowitz-mikalinis

I have known Dr Klausner for many years since I am a former patient. I only found out today of his passing and am heartbroken. I am truly sad for this was and is a great man who did really wonderful things for people. He had so many patients who loved him, and since the day I met him, we would share stories of our kids and his grandkids. I met him as the result of a scare I had many years ago, and once I was ok, he would joke around with me every year and call me his boring patient because there was never anything to report lol. He was a kind, gentle man who really loved what I don't think he considered a job. He was just everyone's hero. I was truly sad to hear he was retiring, yet to find out he passed away was devastating. I send my deepest sympathies to his family and his staff at Brookhaven who have worked with him for so long, especially to Lisa, who I know shared such a special bond with him. Stan and I worked together for many years. He has taught me so much about the art of medicine and always had excellent restaurant and travel recommendations. He will be sorely missed. My deepest condolences to his wife, children and grand children whom he spoke of so highly and so often with a brightness in his smile.

Toby, we just heard the very sad news from Eric and Susan about Stanley's sudden death.  So sorry for your loss. We have fond memories of seeing you both at Eric and Sue's  events. Paul also remembers going shooting with Stanley and having such fun. May your memories of all the good times sustain you, your children and grandchildren at this most difficult time. May he rest in peace and may his name be a blessing.

We are all saddened by the sudden passing of Stan. He was a very warm, straightforward + bottom line kind of guy who will be sorely missed by all us here at WF Advisors.  I was always amazed at his extensive knowledge + grasp of all things non medical - and shared his love of motorcycles.

To my cousin Stanley: distance and time have not reduced the warm feelings i continue to embrace for you.  Growing up you were always the surrogate "big brother" to me. I will always miss you very much and am fortunate in having had many genuinely pleasant fun filled times together over a lifetime of years. Be at peace on that big motor cycle in the sky.
