Bonnie Louise Welch

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Bonnie Welch, who peacefully departed this world on August 20, 2026, at the age of 85, in the warmth and comfort of her home in Dorr, Michigan. Bonnie was born on August 18, 1941, in Cadillac to parents Leo and Fran Greeley.

Traveling by boat and train at age 19, Bonnie married the love of her life, Gordon Welch, in a quaint town in Germany in 1960. Their union was a testament to enduring love and companionship, spanning an incredible 66 years.

Bonnie's pride and joy were her family, whom she adored beyond measure. Her nurturing spirit lives on in her surviving husband, Gordon, and their children Barbara Welch, Brian (Elaine) Welch, Jeff (Becki) Welch, and Amy (Adam) Vincent. She was blessed with 21 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren who brought her immense joy. She is survived by her brother, Dennis (Kim) Greeley. Bonnie was preceded in death by her dear son, Gordon James Welch Jr., whose memory she cherished deeply. Her family and friends take solace in knowing that they are now reunited.

Visitation with friends and family will take place from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, August 26, 2026 at Kubiak-Cook Funeral Home (Dorr Chapel), 4330 18th St., Dorr, MI 49323. Funeral services will begin 11 a.m. Thursday, August 27 at the Dorr Chapel, with visitation from 10-11 a.m. prior to service.
