

Carol (Junglas) Dever, age 79 of Dorr, peacefully passed away at home on Sunday, September 28, 2025. She was born May 6, 1946, to Norbert and Laura (Homrich) Junglas. Carol was baptized, was a first communicant, and confirmed at St. Mary’s Church in New Salem.
She attended Saint Mary’s Catholic School for eight years and Hopkins Public School for four years. St. Mary’s Church was the setting where Carol married Robert M. Dever on August 14, 1965. He was her best friend and the love of her life for 45 years until God called him home on October 23, 2010.
Also preceding Carol in death were her parents, Norbert and Laura Junglas; sister, Theresa (Junglas) Syswerda; father-in-law, James Dever Sr.; mother-in-law, Gladys Dever; brothers-in-law, William Dever and James Dever Jr.; sister and brother-in-law, Rose and Leroy Hancock; grandson, Billy Miller; and nephews Travis and Chad Cornell.
She is survived by her cherished family: sons William (Cheryl) Dever, Robert (Annette) Dever Jr.; grandchildren Brittany Dever (Matt Rairigh), Cain (Ashley) Dever, Tedi Jo Dever, William Dever II, Scott (Kristin) Weber, Ryan (Jamie) Weber, and Kelly Miller; great-grandchildren Avery Davis, Callie Dever, Jaxon Dever, Bella Dever, Willow Dever, Abigail Dever, Jackson Weber, Riley Weber, Caleb Weber, Alaina Miller, Blair Weber, and Aubrie Miller; beloved siblings Norman (Nenita) Junglas, Kathy Berens, Linda (Jim) Hillen, Ron (Christine) Junglas, Dorothy Dever, Connie (David) Hupp, and Mary Dever; and numerous relatives, friends, and many acquaintances during her 38 years working at Keeler Brass (Trident Lighting).
Carol’s home was adorned with various crosses, angels, family photos, and Elvis memorabilia. Although God gave her many trials, she accepted them, enhancing her life with a stronger faith and love for her family. Philippians 4:13 - "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."
A time for relatives and friends to visit with Carol’s family will be held from 4-7 p.m. Sunday, October 5, 2025, at Kubiak-Cook Funeral Home - Dorr Chapel (4330 18th St., Dorr), with a Rosary at 7 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Monday, October 6, 2025, at St. Mary’s Visitation Church (2459 146th Ave., Byron Center), with Father Derda officiating. She will be laid to rest in St. Mary’s Visitation Cemetery.
