It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Gordon Welch, who peacefully departed this world on October 29, 2026, at the age of 89. Gordon was born on November 19, 1936, to parents Harold and Myrtle Welch.
Gordon married the love of his life, Bonnie Welch, in a quaint German town in 1960. Their union was a testament to enduring love and companionship, spanning an incredible 66 years.
Gordon proudly served his country in the United States Army. He also worked for over 30 years at General Motors. Most importantly, he loved his family and cherished time spent with them.
Gordon's pride and joy were his family, whom he adored beyond measure. He will be remembered by his children Barbara Welch, Brian (Elaine) Welch, Jeff (Becki) Welch, and Amy (Adam) Vincent. He was blessed with 21 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren who brought him immense joy; he loved his title of “Grandpa.” Gordon is survived by his siblings Eldon (Suze) Welch, Sharon (Lee) Gregory, Shirley Frame, Patsy Smith, Suzanne (Sherri Noone) Klump, Gary (Sandy) Welch; and many extended relatives and friends.
Gordon was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie Welch; son, Gordon James Welch Jr.; brothers George Welch, Ernie Welch, Bill Welch; and brothers-in-law Jim Frame and Richard Smith.
