Our beloved Madison Rae Funk passed away unexpectedly on July 5, 2026, leaving a profound void in the hearts of all who knew her. Madison was a true bright light; she had a rare gift for illuminating any room she walked into. Known for her immense heart, she was a fiercely loyal friend who consistently rooted for the underdog and championed the inclusion of everyone around her. She loved nothing more than making people laugh--often at her own expense--and brought endless joy to others through her thoughtful gifts.
Beyond her compassionate spirit, Madison was an excellent student and a remarkably gifted athlete. She truly thrived on the volleyball court and was an absolute force on the softball diamond, commanding the field with a catcher's arm that was rivaled by none. When she wasn't competing, Madison shared a deep passion for the outdoors and loved hunting with her dad, spending every spare moment she could in the woods.
Madison is survived by her devoted parents Ryan and Jennifer (Weber) Funk; loving sister, Makenna Funk; grandparents Raymond (Kathleen) Funk, Ronda (Ron) Blain, Brian (Chris) Weber, and Patricia (Michael) Farr; great-grandma, Ruth Judy; aunts and uncles Joseph (Breanne) Weber, James Weber, Rebecca Veldhouse, and Michelle Weber; as well as a large, loving circle of cousins and extended family members. Madison's legacy of kindness, laughter, and fierce determination will live on forever in those who loved her.
