Michael was born October 9, 1963, in Sault Ste. Marie, MI to Phyllis Cameron and Elvie Stein. He was a proud graduate from Wayland Public Schools, where he played many sports including football and cross country.
At his time of death, he worked at Johnson Controls Inc. as a sales technician, selling and installing fire prevention systems. Mike loved his career because it gave him endless opportunities for visiting different cities and exploring Michigan while providing fire suppression solutions throughout Michigan.
Mike was a major sports fan; his favorite teams were the Detroit Tigers, Detroit Lions, and Michigan football. He wore those colors until the day he left us. Mike made sure that whenever a game was on, he was right there supporting them.
He loved being outdoors and taking in as many sights as he could, including photo opportunities. He enjoyed photography and had many photo albums with beautiful photos of the sights he had seen. One of his most cherished places he visited was England.
Those who knew Mike would remember him as a kind, compassionate, and selfless person. He was always there for others when they needed it the most. Although his heart was the reason for his passing, he made sure to share it with those he loved and cherished. Above all else, Mike enjoyed spending time and making memories with his children and grandchildren.
Michael is preceded in death by his father; grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Harry Stein of Baltimore, Maryland and Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Bush of Sault Ste. Marie; and many aunts and uncles. He is survived by his siblings Debbie Villarreal, Elvie (Tammy) Stein, Pat Landon, Pamela (John) Johnson, and Brian Cameron. He is also survived by his daughters Angela (Joe) Johnson, Amanda (Fernando) Ree, Megan (Josh) DeBruyne; five grandchildren Tamara, Trenton, Aleeka, Eveart and Lincoln; one great-grandchild; along with extended family who will miss him dearly.
