Phillip John Fris

Phillip Fris, age 78, passed away Sunday, July 12, 2026. He was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis Fris; father, Gordon Fris; mother, Iris Parker; and stepfather, Daniel Wright. He is survived by his children William (Katherine) Fris, Theresa (Cristo) Flores, Phillip (Alicia) North, and Renee Fris; grandchildren Cody (Amber) Heasley, Paxton Fris, Nichole (Steven) Kleis, Megan Heasley, Anthony (Paige) Flores, and Jaelynn North; and lots of great-grandchildren.

Phil loved to hunt, fish, spend time out at the lake, shoot pool with his friends, and shoot guns. He was an amazing man, willing to help anyone if he was able. Phil proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He had a boisterous laugh, a great personality, and loved spending time with family and friends. He is going to be GREATLY missed.

Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, July 30, 2026, at Kubiak-Cook Funeral Services (Dorr Chapel), 4330 18th St., Dorr, MI 49323. Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Friday, July 31, 2026, with visitation from 2-3 p.m. prior to the service, at the funeral home.
