Rexanne Marie Francis passed away on August 20, 2026, at the age of 77. A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, Rexanne devoted her life to the family she cherished. Her loving and gentle spirit touched countless lives—not only through her family and friendships, but also throughout her remarkable 45-year career as an elementary school teacher.
Rexanne was an enthusiastic Notre Dame and Cleveland Guardians fan who rarely missed a game, often watching with a cat or two curled up comfortably in her lap. Her kindness, devotion, and unwavering love will be deeply missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
Rexanne was preceded in death by her parents Mildred and Rex Cooper; beloved husband, Alan Francis; sister, Diane Klecker; and granddaughter, Natalie Francis.
She is survived by her sister, Linda Losik; two sons Dan Francis and Matthew Francis; and many loving family members, friends, former colleagues, and students.
Rexanne leaves behind a beautiful legacy of love, faith, compassion, and service to others. Her family will forever be grateful for her support, sacrifices, and constant love. Until we meet again, may God hold her in the palm of His hand.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, August 28, 2026 at Kubiak-Cook Funeral Services (Dorr Chapel), 4330 18th St., Dorr, MI 49323, with visitation from 10-11 a.m. prior to the service. A luncheon will follow.
