It makes me smile to think back on times I spent with Tom.  I recall attending a church Christmas Pageant in which Tom and his brother Keith were 2/3 of the Wise Men.  (Perfect casting).  
Another time I went to see Tom and he was chopping wood with a new ax.  I asked if I could split some logs. Instead I split the ax handle on my first swing. (Tom was not impressed). I went ice fishing with Tom and became his auger caddy and hole driller. Tom’s fish catching ability was only limited by how long it took me to drill another hole.
I will especially miss Tom’s laugh.  His laugh could fill a room and put everyone around him in a good mood.  To Mary and the kids and grandkids I express my deepest sympathy.
Rest easy, my friend.

Scott and I are very sorry to hear of Tom’s passing.  Our thoughts and prayers are with your family as you mourn and share memories of your loved one.  By Gods grace we have been promised eternal life through the sacrifice of our Savior Jesus Christ. Take comfort in knowing you will reunite someday in eternal peace.

I grew up with the Holtz family just down the street lots of great memories and good friends! There is one thing I loved about Tom, his love for blues music! I remember as a young kid staying the night and hearing the blues played through out the house and I fell in love instantly. In my adult life I ran into Tom a lot at blues on the mall and my favorite, cow pie blues festival. If not for Tom playing that music at his house when I was a kid I would have missed out on a lot of great times, memories and most important the people. Thanks Tom, Every time I listen and dance to the blues you’ll be in my memory!! Love you Mary, Tommy, Roger, Kayla and Sarah!!

I didn't have much interaction with Tom once I was out of elementary school (I was sent to a different school from his kids, so we naturally drifted in different directions) but I remember him being kind and always happy to chat about what he was doing -- especially if he was in the garden or cleaning fish. And, I loved his taste in music, especially when he played it loud!
I know he is deeply loved; it's obvious in Mary's face when she talks about him, and I never tired of hearing how they met. My heart aches for those who are grieving his absence. We are lifting all of Tom's family and friends in prayer for comfort and peace.

 Just recieved this news from My Brother.
  Tom and I met on the disc Golf course Vienna Park , wow, way back in the guessing mid to late 80's.  After Playing together in a few tourneys.  We would enjoy rounds together, when he made the trip back south.
   One day I went to see my Brother, he was having a particluar celebration that all of his Wife sharon, family was also there. 
 In walked Tom and Mary, to that Point, neither of us knew the connection  of the two families.
    Time has a way of slipping by,  and seasons change. They say Life moves on.  However In one fleeting moment, those that changed our lives in special ways, seem to make that second splash in our moments later on.  
   Mary , I feel for your Loss. 
  Tom,  Not sure how often you were able to enjoy all the new courses around these tri state areas, but I never thought we would see the day so many were around.  
 Last week I played Vienna, it too has changed, well seasoned. 
  Rest in God's Peace, 
 We Pray that your family and friends, cloaked in the grace of His Most Holy Spirit shelter you in Grace in your time of grief. 
          For You, I am sure they have they best Tee Pads there.

I spent a time with Tom most in High School we were on the football team together and driving all over the back roads. I would see him at the high school reunions reminiscent about all the fun we had. He will be truly missed from everyone that knew him, my condolences to all of his family.

I have been a friend of the whole Holtz Fam since I was in kindergarten.  I will greatly miss Tom, especially  out ice fishing on Green lake, it just won't  be the same! Also have to thank Tom, Mary and the whole family for letting  me be such a part of the family growing up, I think i spent almost as much time with them as I did my own family.  It  was so fun spending weekends  with all of you, and camping at Deep Lake. It really meant a lot to me.  My deepest sympathy  for the loss of a great father, grandfather and friend! Love you all!

Praying Our LORD and SAVIOR surrounds, shields, supports, sustains and soothes you Mary, children, grandchildren in HIS perfect peace! As you walk "through" this valley to grieve, mourn and CELEBRATE the life, legacy, lessons shared ❤️ with Thomas! A grand adventure lived well and possibly a few shenanigans along the way! GOD "IS" OUR REFUGE & STRENGTH, as you abide in that Blessed Assurance 🙏 🙏 🤲 held secure in JESUS CHRIST'S everlasting arms!

I will always remember Tom as a man who reflected the love of God in Christ Jesus, the father of children who grew to continue to spread the love of Christ.  There has never been a family so loving to those in their midst.  May the comfort of the resurrection be with you all.
