

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 16, 2013 at Byrd Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Steve Trail officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery with Byrd Funeral Home on West Main Street directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 9:00-10:45 a.m. Monday morning.
Mrs. Granberry was born in Geneva County on December 18, 1938. She lived the early part of her life there and in Holmes and Houston Counties. She graduated high school in Rehobeth in 1958. Mrs. Granberry was a homemaker for the first years of her married life and later worked with Sony Corp. and Southeast Alabama Medical Center. She enjoyed gardening, fishing, cooking, and keeping her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilburn and Mary Williams Peters, and four brothers, Dan Peters, Gene Peters, Joe Peters, and Mack Peters.
Survivors include her husband, Nelson Granberry of Dothan; daughters, Rhonda Granberry of Ft. Myers, FL, Sonja Granberry Webster and Mandy Granberry Brown, both of Dothan; five grandchildren, Talia Mills (Gene), Jesse Webster (Chelsea), Mark Webster, Jr., Peyton Brown, and Maddox Brown; three great-grandchildren, Alexa Mills, Lilly Dane Mills, and Jagger Webster; two sisters, Ann Skinner (Wilmer) of Panama City, FL and Janice Elkins (Bill) of Dothan; three brothers, Jim Peters of Abbeville, Treadwell Peters (Mattie) and Richard Peters (Barbara), both of Dothan; and several nieces and nephews.
