Cecile May Baird

Graveside services will be held Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at the Dothan City Cemetery with Johns-Ridout's Funeral Home of Birmingham and Byrd Funeral Home of Dothan directing.

Mrs. Baird, a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, was born on September 15, 1921 to Ozzo Stevens Anderson and Cecile Pearle Anderson.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Cole Baird, Jr., and her three brothers: Harry Williams Anderson, Paul Lamar Anderson, Oren Stevens Anderson, and one sister in law, Jeanne Albert Anderson.

She is survived by the following: her daughter Stephanie Anne Baird, Birmingham; her grandson Christopher Baird Ash, Huntsville; a son-in-law Nicholas R. Ash in Afghanistan; three nieces, Jean Anderson and Harriet Austin, Columbus, Georgia, Caroline Anderson Reich, Birmingham; and one nephew, Ron Anderson, Wetumpka; two sister-in-laws; Eugenia Anderson, Birmingham and Ernestine Anderson, Columbus, GA; several great-nieces and nephews; her long time companions and caregivers, Audria Bennett and Vernita Parmer.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Fountain of Love, Fair Haven Retirement Center, 1424 Montclair Road, Birmingham, AL 35210.
