Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 7, 2013 at Byrd Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ray Jones and Rev. John Clark officiating. Burial will follow at Daleville Memorial Gardens with Byrd Funeral Home on West Main Street directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Save-A-Pet, P.O. Box 9323, Dothan, AL 36304.

Mrs. Tucker was born March 5, 1945 in Denver, Colorado and lived the early years of her life there. After her marriage, she traveled extensively with her husband Tom throughout his military career. She has been a resident of Dothan since 1982. Mrs. Tucker established Tanglewood Pet Motel which she owned and operated for over 7 years. She was an active member of Sav-A-Pet and a canine midwife whelping hundreds of puppies throughout the years. She also raised puppies and was area co-coordinator for Southeastern Guidedogs some of which were awarded to the blind. Mrs. Tucker was a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Thomas E. Tucker of Dothan; a daughter and son-in-law, Kari and Max Fowler of Dothan; a son, Richard A. Tucker of Dothan; three grandchildren, Andrea Bryant of Atlanta, GA, Nathan Tucker and Nicholas Tucker, both of Dothan; 4 great-grandchildren, Brandon, Naomi, Cornelius and Alana.
