Cora Ellen Murray

Funeral services will be held at a later date in Dixon, MO, under the direction of Long-Kloeppel Funeral Home. Byrd Funeral Home on West Main Street has charge of local arrangements.

Ms. Murray was born July 4, 1916, in Iberia, MO and graduated from Dixon High School in 1934. She was employed during her working years with both Vaisey Bristol Shoe Corporation and Brown Shoe Company. She had resided at Westside Terrace in Dothan for approximately one year at the time of her death and was a member of the Dixon, MO Church of Christ.

Ms. Murray was preceded in death by her parents, James T. and Agnes M. Meredith, five sisters, Arlis and Phoebe Meredith, Gertrude Baker, Irene Lane, her twin sister, Ora Langevin and by a brother, Thomas Meredith.

She is survived by two sons, and daughters-in-law, Fred L. Thompson (Beverly), of Dothan, and Charles E. Murray (Paula), of Miami, OK; six grandchildren and their spouses, Teresa Cron (Tony), Lafayette, IN, Greg Thompson (Connie), Dothan, John Murray (Tamara), Tallequah, OK, Christi Orcutt (Russell), Miami, OK, Tamara Spahn (Loren), Augusta, KS, and Charles D. Murray (Tara), Miami, OK; twelve great grandchildren.
