Juanita Clark Richards

Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 7, 2012 at Byrd Funeral Home Chapel with the Dr. Brent Parker and Rev. Thaxton Whiddon officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Cemetery with Byrd Funeral Home on West Main Street directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday evening. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Selma Baptist Church Building Fund, 3255 South Park Ave., Dothan, AL 36301.

Juanita lived her adult life in the Dothan area and retired from Ansell with 22 years of service. In her early retirement years she enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family. The joys of her life were her grandsons and great granddaughters.

She was preceded by her parents, W.C. and Mary Althea Clark; brothers, James (Vermelle) Clark, Charles (Betty) Clark; sisters, Lucille (Tom) McLeod, and Lorene (Delmon) Mercer; and brother-in-law, Willie Parmer.

Surviving relatives include her husband of 64 years, Earl Richards; her sons, David (Peggy) Richards, Jerry (Susan) Richards; grandsons, Kyle Register, Jason (Tina) Richards, Ryan Richards; great granddaughters, Hannah Coleman and Lilly Richards; sister, Merlene Parmer; brother, Hubert (Mary) Clark; and a host of nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to her caregivers, Rose Magwood and Mary Freeman.
