Lucille Murdock Boswell

Funeral Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 16, 2012 at Tabernacle United Methodist Church with Rev. Larry Newton, Rev. Phillip Collins and Rev. Doug Newsome officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Cemetery with Byrd Funeral Home on West Main Street directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 on Thursday.

Mrs. Boswell was born August 17, 1923 in Enterprise, Alabama and lived the early years of her life there. She was a military wife and traveled the world with her husband during his military career. She was a resident of the Wiregrass area for over 45 years. Mrs. Boswell was a past member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church and a member of Tabernacle United Methodist Church.

She is predeceased by her husband, Joseph Eudon Boswell; a daughter, Janice Boswell; parents, Shelley and Lillie Murdock; brothers, LC and Toy Murdock and a sister, Ethel Arrington.

Survivors include a daughter, Jeanette McLendon and husband, Adam, of Dothan; grandchildren, Shellie Yeoman and husband, Dustin, Daniel McGraw and Hannah McLendon; a brother, Coy Murdock, two sisters, Bessie Kelly and Pearl Hernandez, all of Enterprise, Thelma Stokes of Gardner, Kansas; several nieces and nephews also survive.

The family would like to extend a “Special Thanks” to Southern Care Hospice and Lisa Reid for all of their help, love and support.
