Lynn McClendon Arnold

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at Cloverdale Baptist Church with Rev. Hugh Kirkland and Rev. Aaron Dickinson officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Cemetery with Byrd Funeral Home on West Main Street directing. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to service time on Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, Lynn requested memorials be sent to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

Lynn was born September 1, 1951 in Dothan and lived the early part of her life in Newville. She later moved to Dothan where she resided the rest of her life. Lynn loved spending time with her family, especially her granddaughter Brooke. She also enjoyed working in her yard and fishing. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She was retired from Dothan City Schools and was a member of Cloverdale Baptist Church and the Ron Meadows Sunday School Class.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Cecil and Jeanette McClendon and her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Porter and Loretta Arnold.

Survivors include her husband, Michael Arnold; two sons, Clint Joseph Arnold and Brandon Arnold; a granddaughter, Brooke Madison Arnold, all of Dothan; two sisters, Sheila (Doug) Preston of Abbeville and Ramona (Randy) Rathel of Dothan; a sister-in-law, Mona Wambles of Dothan; three special nieces, Casey Hopkins, Christie Williamson, and Chrystal Schulman Clark; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and other family friends; and her pet dog, Lexis.
