Mrs. Edwards was born December 9, 1955 in Ft. Benning, GA. She spent some of her childhood in Germany and later moved with her family to Cameson, NC and graduated from Union Pines High School.
In 1973 she moved to Dothan where she married her husband, Arnold, and raised their children. Mrs. Edwards was very supportive in her children's lives and the children of the community she lived in. She taught Ryan and Wendy how to play ball and attended all of their games. She was also very supportive in the deaf community where she taught Matthew and others cued speech and how to speak. Scott always held a special place in her heart and she loved him dearly. Not only did she love her children but their friends. All of them had a little bit of love from her too because she always saw them as an extended blessing. Holidays were always a special time for Neda, her husband, and children as they were meant to be spent with each other.
She attended Piney Grove United Methodist Church and was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 3073 and Elks Lodge 1887 of Dothan where she showed her support for our troops and their families. She retired from Dobbs Bar-B-Que where she was employed for over 25 years. In her spare time and after her retirement she enjoyed fishing and camping with her husband, best friend and love of her life, along with her dogs, who she sometimes loved as much as her children. When she was not outdoors she would watch Atlanta Braves or an Auburn Football game.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Sergeant Major Ralph (retired) and Louise Arrighi, a twin sister, Rita Fay Arrighi, and Doris Arrighi.
Survivors include her husband Arnold Edwards of Dothan; four children, Ryan Edwards (Becca) of Dothan, Matthew Edwards (Hope) of Bonifay , FL, Wendy Burkett (Rusty) of Luverne, Al and Scott Edwards (Sherry) of Montgomery; six grandchildren, Teagan Edwards, Matthew Edwards, Schylur Edwards, Alex and Austin Floyd, Ree Burkett; one great-grandchild, Paizlee Burkett; two sisters, Debbie Tyner (Randy) of Carthage, NC and Connie McDaniel of Dothan and one brother Larry Arrighi (Camille) of Mt.
