

Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 12, 2011 at Byrd Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Charles Littlefield officiating. Burial will follow in the Bethlehem Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Geneva County with Byrd Funeral Home on West Main Street directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 p.m. on Friday.

Mrs. Paulk was born January 13, 1921 in Geneva County and lived there all of her life. She was a homemaker and retired from Ansell Corporation. She was a member of Malvern United Methodist Church where she served as Secretary and Treasurer for many years.
Mrs. Paulk was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, James Wesley “J.W.” Paulk, two brothers and four sisters.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Ted and Donna Paulk of Dothan and Sidney and Mary Paulk of Malvern; three grandchildren, Allison Paulk Wall and husband, Mark, Wesley Paulk and Laura Paulk Berry and husband, Morgan; four great-grandchildren, Katherine Wall, Grant Wall, Ava Berry and Scarlett Berry.
Serving as active pallbearers will be Jerry Strickland, Larry Collins, Joel Pullum, Mark Wall, Wesley Paulk and Morgan Berry.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of Wesley Manor Retirement Center for the love and care provide to “Ms. Nell”.
