Norma B. Cathell

She was predeceased by her husband of 63 years, William Thomas Cathell, her father, Clyde S. Britt and her mother, Boyd C. Bradshaw.

She is survived by her three sons, Thomas Steven Cathell (Jeanne), Carter Stanley Cathell (Betsy), and Norman Stafford Cathell (Dara); six grandchildren: Britt C. Poer (Henry), Catherine Cathell, Matthew K. Cathell (Jess), Christopher F. Cathell (Kristin), Katie V. Cathell and Anna Lee Cathell; and seven great grandchildren (Henry, Macaulay, Nola, Quinn, Harper Anne, Elias, and Liv).

She is also survived by siblings, John Stanley Britt (Margie), Jane B. Bass, Charles Bradshaw (Martha) and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank her Northside friends and neighbors and the First Baptist Church Family and others in the Dothan community who loved her.

A Celebration of Life Service will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 20, at First Baptist Church, with Dr. Johnny Fain and Rev. Bob Gross officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery with Byrd Funeral Home on West Main Street directing. The family will receive friends at the church from 10-10:45 a.m. on Saturday prior to service time.
