T. J. 'Pat' Patrick

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 3, 2010, at Byrd Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Johnny Fain officiating. Burial with military rites will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery with Byrd Funeral Home on West Main Street directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:45 until 1:45 p.m. on Sunday prior to service time.

Pat was born on August 22, 1923, the middle child of two siblings in Chipley, FL, to Frank Walker and Lizzie Mae Rustin Patrick. He proudly served his country aboard the Battleship USS Pennsylvania during WWII and also the USS Tidewater in the Korean War. After the war, he worked 29 years with Montgomery Ward.

He was preceded in death by his mother, father, and a sister, Louise Clark.

He is survived by a daughter, Patricia Patrick Kausalik, a son, Robert Timothy (Margaret) Patrick, and their mother, Nell Henderson Patrick, all of Dothan; one sister, Audrey Mae Hall of Lakeland, FL.

He loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren very much. They are Mark (Jessica) Kausalik, Jr. of Cape Coral, FL, Sarabeth Patrick, Matthew (Anna) Patrick, all of Dothan; great-grandchildren, Abigail Kausalik, Jake Patrick, Alex and Autumn Davis.

Pat was a fun, loving person who touched the lives of all who knew him.
