Memorial Services will be held 4:00 pm Sunday, December 15, 2013 at Byrd Funeral Home Chapel on West Main Street with Tim Owens officiating. The family will receive friends from 3:00 until 4:00 pm Sunday prior to service time. At other times they will be at the Jarmon residence.
Theresa's faith as one of Jehovah's Witnesses was the most important thing to her, because she knew that if she stayed faithful everything else would work itself out. Theresa was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses on May 14, 1941 at age 11 and has served as a full time minister of Jehovah's Witnesses since September 1, 1994. This past September she started her 30th year.
Theresa was born to Mary Nita Robinson Coleman and James Thomas (known as J.T.) Coleman of Bascom, Florida at 3 am on April 3, 1930. Theresa was a loving, devoted mother to her six children. She kept us united and closely knit as a family and we will continue to work hard to meet Jehovah's approval so we can welcome her back in the paradise.
Theresa was preceded in death by her son, Walter Buford Jarmon, Jr. (known as Little Butchie) and her ex-husband and father of their six children, Walter Buford Jarmon, Sr. (known as Butch). Theresa married the love of her life, Butch, on December 1, 1948.
