Mr. Alton Nathaniel Brewer, age 75, of Winston, Georgia passed away Sunday, April 3, 2016. He was born March 4, 1941 in Jackson, Mississippi. He had served in the Masons, was very proud to have earned Master Mason and had just received his 50 year pin. Mr. Brewer loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren; enjoyed bridge, politics, history, reading, and traveling. He loved ballroom dancing and danced with the Arthur Murray Studio. Mr. Brewer also loved serving as a volunteer at the Gold Mine Museum in Villa Rica, and especially taking the children on tours.
Mr. Brewer was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Betty Mitchell Brewer; his mother and father, David and Lelia Davis Brewer.
He is survived by his daughters, Trish Graham and Barbie Elam and husband Scott; brothers, Tommy Brewer and wife Marcia; sisters, Linda Livesay, Sandra O’Mire and husband Leonard, and Peggy Alford and husband Ronnie; brother-in-law, Clyde Owens; four grandchildren, Kelsie Graham, Sidney Graham, Ian Elam and Lia Elam; as well as other family members.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, April 5, 2016 from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM. The funeral service will follow at 5:00 PM in the Rosehaven Chapel with Dr. Billy Godwin officiating. Interment will follow at Rosehaven Memorial Park.
