

Amy Lynn Belcher, age 57, of Douglasville, Georgia, passed away on March 14, 2026, peacefully in her home. She was born on March 23, 1968, in Atlanta, Georgia, to the late Mr. Leo Belcher and Mrs. Betty Watkins Belcher.
Amy is a graduate of Lithia Springs High School. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Public and Social Services from Kennesaw State University. She received her Master’s degree in Public Administration from Columbus State University and an Associates in Computer Science from Clayton State University.
Amy dedicated her life to service and community, proudly serving as a Lieutenant with the Douglasville Police Department. She earned the respect and admiration of her colleagues and the community she served. In addition to her love and commitment to law enforcement, she loved traveling, photography, cooking, gaming and reading.
Above all, Amy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. She will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her. Left to cherish her memory are her wife, Dena Callahan; her children, Christian (Kelley) Callahan, Lindsay Dumke, Brittany (Heath) Lankford, and Kenneth (Abby) Callahan; and her cherished grandchildren, Riley, Kennedy, Hadley, Noah, Dawson, and Amelia. She is also survived by her sister, Raeanne (Rob) Lowry, and her nephew, William Lowry.
In addition to her parents, Amy was preceded in death by her aunt, Janice Watkins. Mother, Betty Joyce Belcher, and her grandmother Florence Watkins.
Amy will be remembered for her unwavering love, dedication and support for friends and family. Her legacy will live on in all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Funeral Services will be conducted on Friday, March 20, 2026, at 2 pm. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, March 19, 2026, from 5:00 pm- 8:00 pm.
