Mrs. Barbara Ann Sims, age 81, of Douglasville, GA, passed away September 30, 2016. She was born January 3, 1935 in Greenville, SC to the late Willie and Sarah Lentz Lester. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughters, Sharla and Darla Sims; and brother, William “Bill” Lester. Mrs. Sims was a devoted housewife. She loved to swim and fish. She enjoyed baseball and “shooting.” She could out-shoot both her father and her husband. She is survived by her husband, Billy L. Sims, Sr.; son and daughter-in-law, Billy L., Jr. and Michael Sims: one grandson; and one great-grandson. Private services will be held for Mrs. Sims. She will be entombed in the mausoleum at Rosehaven Cemetery in Douglasville.
