Mrs. Betty Jane Clay, age 73, of Temple, Georgia, passed away Friday, November 17, 2017. She was born December 11, 1943 in Corbin, Kentucky. Mrs. Clay never met a stranger, and was a member of the Red Hat Society. Her hobbies included board games, music and travel. Mrs. Clay was preceded in death by her husband, Manuel B. Clay; her parents, Brad and Lucy Cox; and a son, Kenneth M. Clay. She is survived by her daughter, Terri (Russell) Morriss; sisters, Louise Haddock and Ellen Mitchell; two grandchildren, Amanda Morriss and Nicholas Morriss; great-grandchildren, Makenzie Davies, Lauren Morriss, and one on the way; as well as numerous other family and friends. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, December 2, 2017 from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM. A memorial service will follow at 3:00 PM in the Rosehaven Chapel.
