Betty Jo Abernathy Harvey, 92, of Powder Springs, Georgia, passed away Saturday, October 10, 2026. She was born April 27, 1934, in Temple, Georgia, to Ralph and Lucy Abernathy, and grew up in Powder Springs. She was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Warren Harvey; parents, Ralph and Lucy Abernathy; her brothers, Willard Abernathy and Ralph Abernathy Jr.; her sisters, Inez Scroggs and Hazel Free and her grandson, Michael Harvey.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Darlene Harvey; her grandsons, Brandon Harvey, Chance (Caitlin) Harvey, and Darrin (Shelby) Harvey; her great-grandchildren, Madeline Harvey and Grant Harvey; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
The family will receive friends at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, at Whitley Garner at Rosehaven Funeral Home in Douglasville, Georgia. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be at Powder Springs Memorial Gardens.
